Casa de Aliaga

The Casa de Aliaga is a historic colonial building in the heart of Lima, Peru, dating back to 1536. Originally owned by Conquistador Geronimo de Aliaga, it has been continuously inhabited by his family for 17 generations. The building showcases a blend of architectural styles, including Renaissance, Baroque, and Neoclassical, due to various renovations over the centuries. After being damaged in the 1746 earthquake, it was rebuilt and has since been recognized as a World Heritage Site. With 18 rooms filled with historical artifacts, it offers a glimpse into Lima's rich colonial past.
