Col. Isaac C. Elston House

The Col. Isaac C. Elston House, also known as Elston Homestead, is a historic residence in Crawfordsville, Indiana, once home to Maj. Isaac Compton Elston, a veteran of the War of 1812 and the Black Hawk War. After moving to Indiana at age 39, he became a prominent frontier merchant and banker. The house, now the President's home for Wabash College, was gifted by his grandson and is part of the Elston Grove Historic District. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in early American history.
