Cupid's Span (bow-and-arrow sculpture)

Cupid's Span is a large-scale bow-and-arrow sculpture by Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen installed in 2002. It sits in Rincon Park along the Embarcadero near the Bay Bridge and is a prominent piece of public art on San Francisco's waterfront. The work is fabricated of steel and painted elements and is often noted for appearing to be partially embedded in the ground.
