Fearless Girl (initial Bowling Green installation)

Fearless Girl is a bronze sculpture by Kristen Visbal commissioned by State Street Global Advisors and installed on March 7, 2017 at Bowling Green, where it famously faced the Charging Bull as a public, site-specific installation. The work was presented as part of a campaign highlighting gender diversity in corporate leadership and quickly became a widely photographed and debated piece of public art. The sculpture was later relocated in December 2018 to a site near the New York Stock Exchange.
