W. N. Bergan–J. C. Lauber Company Building

The W. N. Bergan–J. C. Lauber Company Building is a historic manufacturing complex in South Bend, Indiana, notable for its Italianate architectural style and rich industrial history. Constructed in 1882, the two-story brick building features an ornate cornice and frieze, alongside two additional one-story brick structures. Since 1900, it has been home to the J. C. Lauber Sheet Metal Company, which played a significant role in supplying sheet metal and roofing for early 20th-century buildings in the area, including the Palace Theatre. Recognized for its historical significance, the site was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1999, making it an interesting destination for tourists and researchers alike.
