Rawson Estate

The Rawson Estate, located at 41 Vernon Street in Newton, Massachusetts, is a historic Italianate house built around 1860. This well-preserved 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame structure showcases a symmetrical design with a prominent central gable featuring a round-arch window and an ornate front porch. Originally constructed by boot and shoe merchant Daniel Rawson, the estate reflects the architectural style that was once prevalent in the Newton Corner area. It was recognized for its historical significance and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986, making it an interesting site for tourists and researchers alike.
