Conference House (Billop House)

The Conference House, built in the 17th–18th century and commonly called the Billop House, was the site of the 1776 Staten Island Peace Conference between representatives of the Continental Congress and the British. The house and grounds are the focus of local ghost stories and guided paranormal tours that reference alleged sightings and unexplained sounds.
