Loggia dei Militi

The Loggia dei Militi, or 'Soldiers' Loggia', is a historical building located in Cremona, northern Italy, constructed in 1292. It features a façade adorned with the blazon of Cremona, showcasing four lions that symbolize the city's gates: Ariberta, Pertusia, San Lorenzo, and Natali. This building served as the meeting place for the local 'Società dei Militi' and consists of two rectangular rooms. Notably, the coat of arms of Cremona, depicting two Ercoli supporting the city's main blazon, can be found under the portico. This emblem was relocated from the Margherita Gate after its demolition in 1910, adding to the site's historical significance.
