Engine House No. 8 (Baltimore)

Engine House No. 8, a historic fire station in Baltimore, Maryland, was built in 1871 in the Italianate style and features a distinctive cast-iron street front. It served as a fire station until 1912 before becoming a motorcycle shop and later a clubhouse for boys' clubs. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995, but was demolished in 2002. Fortunately, its iconic cast-iron facade was preserved and is now displayed at the Fire Museum of Maryland, where visitors can explore the history of firefighting in the area.
