Hotel Portofino Kulm, located on Monte di Portofino in Ruta di Camogli, Italy, is a historic Liberty style hotel inaugurated in 1908. Originally envisioned by Sebastiano Gaggini to attract the European elite, it boasts stunning views of the Tigullio and Paradiso Gulfs. The hotel has hosted notable figures such as Queen Margherita of Savoy and Gabriele D'Annunzio. During World War I, it served as a prison camp and later a military hospital. After years of prestige, the hotel closed in 2013 due to legal disputes and has remained abandoned since 2026. Plans for restoration and expansion were proposed but never realized, leaving the hotel in a state of neglect amidst its picturesque surroundings.
