Guo Ziyi Memorial Hall

The Guo Ziyi Memorial Hall, also known as the Neihu Red House, is a historic building located in Neihu District, Taipei, Taiwan. Originally constructed in 1917 during Japanese rule, it served as the residence of the first mayor of Neihu Village. The hall was designated a historical building in 1999 and underwent significant renovations, reopening in 2012 to honor the Tang dynasty general Guo Ziyi. The architecture features a striking two-story Western-style red brick design adorned with Baroque-style elements and traditional Taiwanese decorations. Visitors can explore exhibitions showcasing Tang dynasty poetry, calligraphy, and paintings. The hall is conveniently accessible by a short walk from Wende Station on the Taipei Metro, making it an intriguing stop for tourists and researchers alike.
