Erbil Stones and Gems Museum

Located in the historic Citadel of Erbil, the Erbil Stones and Gems Museum showcases an impressive collection of gemstones, meteorite fragments, and fossils, gathered over 40 years by founder Sarbast Majeed. Originally opened in 2014 in Shaqlawa, the museum moved to its current location in 2016, making it the first of its kind in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. Visitors can explore a variety of common and rare stones from around the world, with an option to purchase genuine stones and replicas in the museum shop. Entry is affordable at approximately $1, and while photography is allowed in the museum, it is prohibited in the shop.
