Queeny Tower

Queeny Tower, constructed in 1965 and named after Monsanto's founder, was a notable medical facility at Washington University School of Medicine. Standing at 321 feet, it was the third tallest medical building in the Western Hemisphere and the second tallest in St. Louis outside downtown. The tower closed in November 2019, and its demolition began in March 2021 to pave the way for a new 16-story inpatient tower, marking a significant transition in the area's medical infrastructure.
