House of the Estates

The House of the Estates, located in Helsinki, Finland, is a historical building completed in 1890 and designed by architect Gustaf Nyström. It features a notable tympanum sculpted by Emil Wikström, depicting Alexander I at the 1809 Diet of Finland. Once serving the commoner estates of Finland, it transitioned to secondary use following the 1906 parliamentary reform. Today, it hosts governmental meetings, official coalition talks, and sessions of the High Court of Impeachment, while also serving as a venue for scientific and scholarly organizations.
