Edward Gardner House

The Edward Gardner House, built around 1764, is one of the oldest structures in Winchester, Massachusetts, and is notable for its connection to the early Gardner family, prominent settlers in the area. This historic house features a distinctive saltbox profile and retains much of its original woodwork. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. The house has a rich history, including ties to significant figures such as Henry Gardner, a treasurer during the American Revolutionary War. After being sold out of the family in 1825, it was restored in 1931 by architect F. Patterson Smith, making it a fascinating site for both tourists and researchers interested in colonial architecture and local history.
