Tarantella Night Club

The Tarantella Night Club, located in Fremantle, Western Australia, is a historic building with a rich past dating back to the gold rush era of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Originally designed by architect Edward Herbert Dean Smith, the building showcases unique Federation Romanesque architecture, characterized by its rough cut limestone facade, castellated tower, and semi-circular arches. It has served various purposes over the years, including as a consulate and a general merchant's office, before becoming a popular nightclub in the 1980s. After its closure in 1993, the building was repurposed into a bed and breakfast, making it an intriguing stop for tourists interested in heritage and architecture.
