Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP)

Opened in 2000 as the Experience Music Project and founded by Paul Allen, MoPOP is a non-profit museum dedicated to contemporary popular culture. The Frank Gehry–designed building at Seattle Center houses exhibits on music, science fiction and fantasy, video games, and film, and includes the Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame. Its irregular, colorful architecture and focused collections make it a distinctive cultural institution in Seattle.
