Mission Dolores cemetery and local folklore

Mission San Francisco de Asís (Mission Dolores) at 3321 16th St, founded in 1776, is the oldest surviving structure in San Francisco and includes an on-site cemetery containing graves of early settlers and mission-era residents. The cemetery and basilica are frequent subjects of historical tours and local storytelling, which sometimes include anecdotal accounts of unexplained sounds or sightings.
