Aiwan-e-Sadr

Aiwan-e-Sadr, the official residence and workplace of the President of Pakistan, is located in the heart of Islamabad's Red Zone. Constructed over 11 years and inaugurated in 1981, it features a modern step pyramid architectural style and is surrounded by beautifully designed gardens reminiscent of Mughal aesthetics. The complex includes four main halls named after Pakistan's Founding Fathers and a zoo that houses various animals. Notably, the Aiwan-e-Sadr has embraced sustainability through the Green Presidency Initiative, becoming the world's first green presidency. While generally closed to the public, it has opened its doors on select occasions, offering a rare glimpse into this significant political landmark.
