January 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol

On January 6, 2021, a mob breached the U.S. Capitol while Congress was meeting to certify the 2020 Electoral College results. Rioters forced evacuations, entered legislative chambers and offices, and caused multiple deaths and injuries.
