USS Constitution and Museum

The USS Constitution, nicknamed "Old Ironsides," was launched in 1797 and is the world's oldest commissioned naval vessel still afloat. The ship won a celebrated engagement under Captain Isaac Hull against HMS Guerriere during the War of 1812, an event central to its historical reputation. The USS Constitution and the adjacent USS Constitution Museum interpret those events and are berthed at the Charlestown Navy Yard as part of Boston National Historical Park.
