Eaton Hall (Tufts University)

Eaton Hall, originally built in 1908 as Eaton Memorial Library, is a historic building at Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. Funded by Andrew Carnegie, it was one of the first libraries constructed with his donations but notably did not carry his name. The building features neoclassical architecture with red brick walls and Corinthian columns, and it was designed by the firm Whitfield & King. Initially serving as the main library, it housed specialized collections until a new library was built in 1965. Today, Eaton Hall functions as a space for departmental offices, classrooms, and a computer lab, while retaining its architectural charm and historical significance.
