Lockwood-Boynton House

The Lockwood-Boynton House, located at 1 School Street in North Springfield, Vermont, is a historic brick structure built around 1800 and enlarged in 1813. This well-preserved example of Federal period architecture features distinctive colonnaded ground floor bays and a central hall plan with a full-width ballroom. Originally the village's first tavern, it became a social hub and was later owned by notable local figures. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 and has been adapted for use as an elder care facility while maintaining its historic character.
