Glendale Mall / Glendale Town Center conversion

The property at this address began as the mid-20th-century Glendale Shopping Center, was later enclosed and known as Glendale Mall, and was redeveloped in the 2000s–2010s into Glendale Town Center, an open-air shopping complex. The redevelopment removed the traditional enclosed mall format and brought in big-box and national chain retailers, altering the site's former indoor-mall layout. The site is frequently cited in Indianapolis as an example of an older suburban mall converted to an outdoor center.
