Oregon Zoo

Founded in 1888 as the Portland Zoo, the Oregon Zoo is located in Washington Park and is one of the oldest zoos in the United States. The institution runs conservation, research, and education programs, including breeding efforts for endangered species and native Oregon wildlife. The zoo also hosts seasonal public events such as the annual Zoolights holiday light display.
