The Propylaeum

The Propylaeum is a historic women’s club and cultural center housed in a late-19th-century brick mansion in the Herron-Morton Place area of Indianapolis. The organization has used the building for social, educational, and artistic programming for over a century and has worked to preserve its Victorian-era interiors and decorative features. The Propylaeum is a noted local example of adaptive reuse of a historic residence for civic purposes.
