Memphis Zoo

Founded in 1906, the Memphis Zoo is one of the oldest continually operating zoos in the United States and contains historic landmark structures alongside modern exhibits. The zoo's long history includes early 20th-century landscaping and buildings that have been adapted or preserved while the institution has expanded its conservation and educational programs. It remains a major cultural and historic institution in Memphis.
