Finnish Parliament Annex

The Finnish Parliament Annex, known as Pikkuparlamentti or 'Little Parliament', is a modern building located in the heart of Helsinki, Finland. Completed in 2004, it was designed by architect Pekka Helin following a design competition. This facility accommodates offices for around one hundred members of the Finnish Parliament and includes public access to the 'Kansalaisinfo' information office, as well as the EU secretariat and various parliamentary committees. The structure is notable for its use of diverse Finnish materials, including birch, maple, pine, and granite. The name Pikkuparlamentti pays homage to a restaurant that once occupied the site, making it a blend of historical and contemporary significance for visitors and researchers alike.
