Bank of the Southwest Tower

The Bank of the Southwest Tower was a proposed skyscraper in Downtown Houston, Texas, intended to reach 1,404 feet, making it the second tallest building in North America if completed. Designed by renowned architect Helmut Jahn, the project won a design competition in 1982 but was ultimately canceled before construction began due to financial constraints during an economic downturn. The ambitious project had an estimated cost of $350–400 million, leaving behind a legacy of what could have been a landmark in Houston's skyline.
