The Edward Steves Homestead, located in San Antonio, Texas, is a historic house designed by architect Alfred Giles and recognized as a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark. Built in 1877 using locally quarried limestone, the homestead features a distinctive mansard roof and was modern for its time, boasting electric lighting and running water. The property includes the main house museum, a carriage house, a river house, and servants' quarters, all contributing to the King William Historic District. The main house was restored as a museum in 1954 and showcases period furniture, including a grand piano donated by Yale University.
