Eastern Market - Capitol Hill public market

Eastern Market at 225 7th St SE has operated on Capitol Hill since the 19th century, with the central market building dating to 1873. The market building was heavily damaged by an arson fire in 2007 and was restored and reopened to the public in 2009. It continues to host a popular weekend farmers' market and indoor vendors frequented by local residents.
