Couch-Artrip House

The Couch-Artrip House, also known as 'Longmeadow' and 'The Holmwood,' is a historic home located near Southside in Mason County, West Virginia. Built around 1830, this two-story brick residence showcases vernacular Greek Revival architecture, complemented by an Italianate-style front porch added around 1875. The property also features a unique corbeled cornice and includes a two-room Greek Revival office/school room and a log building. Recognized for its historical significance, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984, making it an intriguing site for tourists and researchers interested in architectural history and early American life.
