Seaholm Power Plant redevelopment

Seaholm Power Plant is a decommissioned municipal power plant on the south bank of Lady Bird Lake that began operating in the early 1950s and was retired in 1996. The plant's Art Moderne turbine hall and exterior were preserved and incorporated into a mixed-use redevelopment of the Seaholm District in the 2010s. The site now contains retail, office, and residential space while retaining significant elements of the original power-plant structure.
