Pueblo Grande Museum and Archaeological Park (Hohokam village site)

Pueblo Grande preserves an extensive Hohokam village site in central Phoenix that includes a large earthen platform mound and remains of prehistoric irrigation canals. The City of Phoenix operates a museum on-site displaying artifacts recovered from archaeological excavations and interpretive exhibits about Hohokam lifeways. The site dates to the precontact period commonly dated roughly between about 450 and 1450 CE and is one of the best-known Hohokam archaeological sites within Phoenix.
