Pelatiah Leete House

The Pelatiah Leete House, located at 575 Leete's Island Road in Guilford, Connecticut, is a historic home built in 1710 by Pelatiah Leete, a descendant of one of the founders of the New Haven Colony. This 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame structure features a classic New England colonial saltbox design, complete with a gabled roof and original interior elements like fireplaces. Set in a picturesque rural area, the house is the oldest surviving residence associated with the prominent Leete family and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in early American history.
