The Douglas & Jarvis Patent Parabolic Truss Iron Bridge is a historic bridge located in Highgate, Vermont, spanning the Missisquoi River. Built in 1887, it measures 215 feet long, making it one of the longest of its kind in the northeastern United States. This pedestrian bridge features a unique parabolic truss design and is supported by decorative iron I-beam portal posts. It was constructed by the Berlin Iron Bridge Company and is notable for being one of the first bridges in Vermont funded with state assistance.
