Mission Creek Channel (adjacent to Oracle Park)

Mission Creek once flowed through what is now Mission Bay; much of the creek was filled or re-engineered during the 19th and 20th centuries to create waterfront land and shipping channels. The remaining Mission Creek Channel forms the waterfront beside Oracle Park and the Mission Creek Yacht Harbor, marking the historic mouth of Mission Creek. Sections of the original creek survive today as a combination of open channel, shoreline, and buried culverts beneath parts of SoMa and Mission Bay.
