69th Regiment Armory - 1913 Armory Show

The 1913 International Exhibition of Modern Art, commonly known as the Armory Show, was held at the 69th Regiment Armory from February 17 to March 15, 1913, and introduced American audiences to European modernism. The exhibition included works by Marcel Duchamp, Pablo Picasso, and Henri Matisse and famously featured Duchamp's Nude Descending a Staircase, No. 2, which provoked widespread controversy and attention.
