Hughes-Cunningham House

The Hughes-Cunningham House, also known as 'HuCuRu,' is a historic home located near Hedgesville, West Virginia, built in 1772. This unique structure features a two-story log building with a stone foundation and an additional stone wing added around 1784. Recognized for its historical significance, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. Unfortunately, the house suffered significant damage from a fire in 2017, making it a poignant site for those interested in history and preservation.
