Friedrich Wilderness Park - rugged preserve and trails

Friedrich Wilderness Park is a 633-acre nature preserve in northwest San Antonio established on donated land in the 1970s. The park protects limestone canyons and native hill-country habitat and offers more than ten miles of unpaved hiking trails and scenic overlooks. Operated by Bexar County, it is a popular, locally favored site for hiking, trail running, and nature study.
