Leipzig Panometer

The Leipzig Panometer is a unique attraction located in a former gasometer in Leipzig, Germany. Opened in 2003 by artist Yadegar Asisi, it features a stunning visual panorama that currently explores the theme 'New York 9/11', reflecting on the events of September 11 and their global repercussions. The gasometer, built in 1909, has been transformed to house the world's largest panoramic images, reaching 105 meters in circumference and 30 meters in height. Visitors can experience the panorama from a central platform, enhanced by light and sound effects, including a simulated day-night cycle.
