La Ronda (estate)

La Ronda was a grand mansion and estate located in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, built in 1929 by renowned architect Addison Mizner. Originally spanning 233 acres, the estate featured Mediterranean Revival and Spanish Gothic Revival architecture with 51 rooms, including 21 bedrooms. After its original owner, Percival E. Foerderer, passed away, the estate changed hands several times, ultimately facing demolition in 2009 despite efforts to preserve it. The mansion was noted for its remarkable condition and cultural significance, but was ultimately demolished to make way for new development, marking the end of an era for this architectural treasure.
