Londonderry House

Londonderry House was an opulent aristocratic townhouse located on Park Lane in London's Mayfair district, serving as the residence of the Marquesses of Londonderry until 1962. Originally designed in the 1760s, it underwent extensive renovations under the 1st Baron Stewart and later the 3rd Marquess, showcasing lavish interiors and hosting notable guests, including Prince Louis-Napoléon Bonaparte. The house was repurposed as a military hospital during World War I and continued to be a social hub until its sale in 1962, which led to its demolition. Today, the site is occupied by the COMO Metropolitan London, while remnants of its grandeur, such as the stableyard, still exist.
