Diribitorium

The diribitorium was an ancient public voting hall located on the campus Martius in Rome, where citizens' votes were counted by election officials known as diribitores. Initiated by Marcus Agrippa and completed by Emperor Augustus in 7 BC, it featured an impressive roof with the widest span of any Roman building before 230 A.D., supported by massive larch beams. The structure was destroyed by fire in 80 AD but was later rebuilt by Emperor Titus. Some theories suggest it may have had a second story atop the Saepta, making it a significant site for both historical and architectural research.
