Centro Municipal de las Artes, Mazatlán

The Centro Municipal de las Artes is an art school located in Mazatlán, adjacent to the historic Ángela Peralta Theater and the vibrant Plazuela Machado. Originally the Iturbide Hotel, built in 1840, it has a rich history, including being the site where the famous soprano Ángela Peralta passed away. After years of decline and various uses, it was transformed into an arts center in 1989 to foster local artistic talent. Today, it offers workshops in folkloric ballet, plastic arts, theater, cinema, and literature, along with bachelor's degrees in Singing, Music, and Contemporary Dance, making it a hub for cultural and artistic development in the region.
