Espada Aqueduct (Spanish colonial acequia)

The Espada Aqueduct is an 18th-century Spanish colonial acequia and stone bridge that was built to convey irrigation water to Mission Espada's fields. It is part of the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park and is recognized as an example of early hydraulic engineering in the region. The acequia continues to be a visible, extant piece of the mission-era water system that supported agriculture near the mission.
