The Driskill Hotel (1886)

The Driskill Hotel was built in 1886 by Colonel Jesse Driskill and is one of Austin's oldest continuously operating commercial buildings. The Romanesque-style masonry hotel has been renovated multiple times but retains historic public interiors and a prominent location on Congress Avenue. It is a noted example of late 19th-century hotel infrastructure in downtown Austin.
