Elizabeth Building

The Elizabeth Building, located at 100 North Main Street in Providence, Rhode Island, is a historic commercial structure built in 1872 by developer Rufus Waterman. Designed by architect Alfred Stone, it features a striking cast iron facade with Corinthian columns and decorative elements that reflect the architectural style of the era. This five-story building is one of the few remaining examples of its kind in Providence and has been part of the College Hill Historic District since 1970. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1971, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in the city's architectural heritage.
