El Cortez Historic Hotel and Casino

El Cortez is a downtown Las Vegas hotel and casino that opened in 1941 and is one of the city's oldest continuously operating casino hotels. The property retains historic architectural elements from its early years and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013. El Cortez continues to operate as a public casino and lodging property in the Fremont Street area.
