Officers Club, Belgrade

The Officers Club in Belgrade, Serbia, is a historic building located at 48 Kralja Milana Street, recognized as a cultural monument. Constructed in 1895 by architects Jovan Ilkić and Milorad Ruvidić, it showcases a unique late Romantic architectural style with neo-Byzantine influences. Originally commissioned by King Aleksandar Obrenović for the Royal Serbian Army officers, the club served as a social hub for recreation and events. After World War II, the building underwent significant renovations, and since 1968, it has been part of the University of Belgrade, housing the Students Cultural Centre. Its distinctive corner facade and rich decorations make it a notable landmark reflecting Belgrade's historical development.
